- To needle Stomach 44, use an oblique insertion to a maximum depth of 0.5 cun.
Stomach 44 TCM Theory
Stomach 44 is the Ying-Spring point of the Stomach channel.
Ying-Spring points are where the Qi of the channel trickles.
Ying-Spring points are used to:
- Clear Heat from the channel and the organ.
- Clear Heat over the entire length of the channel.
Stomach 44 is also the Water point for the Stomach channel.
The main TCM actions for Stomach 44 are:
- It clears Heat and pain in cases of bleeding gums, toothache and Stomach-Fire.
- It eliminates Wind from the face in cases of trigeminal neuralgia.
