Heart 3 TCM Theory
Heart 3 is the He-Sea point for the Heart channel.
He-Sea where the Qi of the Channel enters a deeper level to communicate with its related organ and are located at or near the elbows and knees.
He-Sea points are used to:
- Treat rebellious Qi, diarrhoea and skin diseases that involve Heat.
- Address issues with the Yang Organs and Channels.
- Treat the Fu organs.
Heart 3 is also the Water point on the Heart channel and so can be tonified to treat Heart patterns that involve Heat.
The main TCM clinical application for Heart 3 is as a local point to move the channel in cases involving pain or numbness on the medial side of the elbow.
