- Lung 6 is located on the palmar aspect of the forearm, 7 cun proximal to Lung 9, on a line connecting Lung 9 with Lung 5.
Lung 6 Needling
- To needle Lung 6, use an on oblique or perpendicular insertion to a maximum depth of 0.5 cun.
Lung 6 TCM Theory
Lung 6 is the Xi-cleft point of the Lung channel.
The Xi Cleft points are where the Qi and Blood of channel accumulate and are located at or near the joints of the body.
In clinical treatment Xi-cleft points are used primarily for acute conditions such as pain that involve their related organ or channel.
The main TCM action of Lung 6 is to clear Lung Heat and stop bleeding in cases of coughing up blood.
